The radiologist will interpret emergent and urgent imaging studies from the Emergency Department, including CT, radiography, and ultrasound, providing timely and accurate reports to support acute clinical decision-making. This role also requires direct communication of critical findings with Emergency Medicine providers and participation in departmental quality improvement activities.
Candidates must possess an MD or DO degree and be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology (ABR), along with eligibility for medical licensure in North Carolina. Fellowship training in Emergency Radiology or a related subspecialty is preferred, but strong communication skills are mandatory.
