About the role

Provide direct support to children and young adults in home and community settings to improve social and daily living skills. Collaborate with supervisors and families to implement techniques that help clients meet their behavioral goals.

Description Section 28 BHP (Behavioral Health Professional)New Wage increase Starting at $19.00 per hour for Certified BHP's (negotiable with experience) $18.50 not certified - will train If you're looking for a rewarding position, you will make a significant difference in the lives of the children and young adults we support by working directly with them in home and community settings. Experience is welcome but not required. If you do not have your BHP certification, the training will be provided at no cost. If you are energetic, enjoy working with children and are looking to make a difference, we want to hear from you!

Section

28 BHP is a skill building program for children to help children improve social skills, increase independence with daily life skills and to safely regulate behavior. Some of the ways in which you'll support the children and young adults in the Section 28 program include: Teach daily living skills to children and young adults with a variety of behavioral and social needs Work closely with supervisors to learn techniques to help the client meet their goals Work with the families to help them use those techniques Some benefits of working for UCP: Flexible schedule - primary hours after school and on weekends High quality support and supervision Referral bonuses for bringing people you know to work for us Professional development funds

Requirements

GED, High School Diploma, Associates Degree Clean driving records and valid driver’ s license (minimum of 3 years) Motor vehicle insurance & registration Reliable transportation
