The Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon will provide high-quality surgical and non-surgical aesthetic care, focusing heavily on post-bariatric body contouring while supporting the full patient transformation journey. Responsibilities include performing a broad range of procedures across OR, inpatient, and clinic settings, and partnering with the bariatric team for comprehensive care planning.
Candidates must possess an MD or DO degree and be Board-certified or Board-eligible in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, holding an active or eligible medical license. Experience with massive weight-loss body contouring is strongly preferred, along with excellent critical-thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
Mix of OR, inpatient, outpatient, and clinic Mix of Reconstructive & Cosmetic Surgery Perform a broad range of plastic and reconstructive procedures Post-bariatric body contouring Aesthetic procedures (injectables, laser treatments, facial plastics optional based on candidate skillset) Skin excisions and reconstructive surgery as indicated Partner with bariatric team to support comprehensive pre- and post-surgical planning and patient care Participate in multidisciplinary case reviews and care-coordination workflows Conduct initial consultations, treatment planning, and post-operative care Educate patients on expectations, recovery, risks, and outcomes Contribute to the development and growth of our plastics subsidiary, including brand development, service line expansion, and marketing initiatives Maintain accurate clinical documentation, adhering to regulatory and quality standards Provide an exceptional patient experience rooted in safety, empathy, and aesthetic excellence
Education, Licensure or Certification: MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Board-certified or board-eligible in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Active or eligible medical license in the state Fellowship training in aesthetic or body-contouring (preferred but not required) Experience with massive weight-loss body contouring strongly preferred Strong commitment to patient care, safety, and outcome excellence Work Experience or Related Experience: 1–2 years of post-residency experience in plastic and/or reconstructive surgery preferred Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. A sound understanding of patient aftercare and wound management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and impeccable bedside manner. The ability to be proactive and self-directed utilizing good time management, decision-making, and organization skills is required. Incumbents must be able to prioritize multiple tasks Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment Entrepreneurial spirit and interest in growing a surgical service line
