We are currently seeking a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Technician (CCRT, CCRVT, or CCRP) to join our growing team.

About the Role

As a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Technician, you will work closely with our veterinarians to design and implement individualized rehabilitation plans that improve mobility, strength, and pain management in canine patients. This role is ideal for someone passionate about orthopedics, neurology, recovery care, and client education.

Key responsibilities

  • Rehabilitation Treatment
  • Administer therapeutic modalities including underwater treadmill sessions, laser therapy, therapeutic exercises, and massage.
  • Implement customized treatment plans under veterinary supervision.
  • Evaluate and document gait, range of motion, muscle mass, and pain levels.
  • Monitor vital signs and track progress during rehabilitation sessions.
  • Veterinary Assistance
  • Assist with orthopedic and neurological examinations.
  • Support case management and treatment adjustments.
  • Instruct pet owners on home exercise programs and post-treatment care.
  • Provide clear guidance to ensure continued recovery outside the hospital.
  • Maintain detailed, accurate medical records for each session.
  • Track patient progress and outcomes.
  • Ensure all rehabilitation equipment is cleaned, maintained, and safe for use.
  • Uphold hospital cleanliness and safety standards.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • Certification

  • Active CCRT, CCRVT, or CCRP credential required.
  • Technical
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of canine anatomy, rehabilitation techniques, and orthopedic/neurological conditions.
  • Physical
  • Stamina: Ability to lift 50+ pounds, kneel, bend, and work comfortably on the floor with large or mobility-restricted dogs.
  • Communication
  • Skills: Ability to clearly explain treatment plans and home care instructions to clients.

  • Safety: Skilled in safely handling pets that may be painful, anxious, or stressed.

Requirements

Candidates must have valid certification as a CCRT, CCRVT, or CCRP and possess strong knowledge of canine anatomy and rehabilitation techniques. Physical stamina and excellent communication skills are also required.
