The Registered Ultrasound Technologist performs ultrasound patient examinations following approved protocols, manages daily schedules, gathers necessary patient files, and ensures ultrasound rooms are stocked and cleaned after each study. Responsibilities also include assisting medical staff during invasive procedures, transporting lab samples, and maintaining required documentation and coding knowledge.
Candidates must have a minimum of two years of experience in radiology, including at least one year of ultrasound scanning experience, and must possess current BLS certification and ARDMS registry. Required certifications upon hire include certification in Abdomen and OB/GYN specialties, along with a high school diploma or equivalent and graduation from an approved Radiology Technology or Ultrasound Program.
