This role involves operating two or more imaging modalities to perform various procedures on inpatients, emergency, and outpatients, while assisting doctors in diagnosing health issues. The technician must adhere strictly to patient safety protocols, ensure diagnostic quality scans, and maintain radiation safety standards conforming to ALARA.
Candidates must possess an Associate’s degree or equivalent from an accredited hospital-based program, along with two years of preferred experience and current BLS certification. A minimum of two modalities (X-Ray, CT, Mammography, MRI, Ultrasound, Echo, Bone Density) must be covered, requiring specific state licensure and ARRT certification for relevant modalities.
This position operates two modalities or more and performs a variety of procedures in each modality. Will assist doctors in the diagnosis of patient’s health problems or injuries. The employee provides direct and indirect patient care to ensure successful completion of their imaging procedures and is responsible for adhering to patient safety protocols.
