About the role

The Mental Health Therapist is primarily responsible for delivering high-quality, person-centered outpatient mental health counseling, which includes conducting diagnostic assessments, providing evidence-based treatment, and developing individualized treatment plans within an FQHC setting. Duties also involve crisis intervention, collaborating with primary care teams in integrated care models, and maintaining appropriate patient caseloads.

Education & experience

Job duties require knowledge and training in the field of behavioral and mental health, typically acquired through a formal Master's or Doctorate-level degree program in counseling, social work, or psychology.

Eligibility qualifications

Licensed Independent Professional or Candidate to become licensed in their respective specialty field within 6 months to 1 year of hire date - according to all regulations in Washington State. (RCW 18.225 and WAC 246-809).

Candidates must typically possess knowledge acquired through a Master or Doctorate level degree in counseling, social work, or psychology, and must be a Licensed Independent Professional or eligible for licensure in Washington State within 6 to 12 months of hire. Required abilities include experience with co-occurring disorders, evidence-based counseling techniques (like CBT/DBT), and proficiency in using EHR systems.
