The physician will perform interventional and peripheral vascular procedures, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and conduct outpatient consultations. They will also participate in hospital rounds and provide education to patients and families regarding cardiovascular health.
Candidates must hold an MD or DO and be board eligible or certified in Interventional Cardiology. They should also have excellent communication skills and the ability to obtain an unrestricted license to practice in Iowa.
Perform procedures with experienced cardiovascular staff; scope could include both interventional and peripheral vascular procedures Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate and ensure seamless continuity of care for patients Conduct outpatient consultations and follow-up appointments in the clinic setting Participate in hospital rounds to monitor and manage the progress of hospitalized patients and adjust treatment plans as necessary Provide education and counseling to patients and their families regarding cardiovascular health, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient histories, progress notes, and treatment plans Stay abreast of advancements in cardiology research, technology, and treatment modalities through continuing education and professional development activities Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve Evaluates, interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment
MD or DO Board Eligible or Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician’s field of practice Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach to care Strong clinical skills and ability to make timely and accurate diagnoses.
