The optometrist will perform comprehensive eye exams, establish long-term patient relationships through care and education, and advise patients on remediation options for ametropias and eye diseases. Key duties include performing vision tests, diagnosing sight problems, prescribing corrective lenses and medications, and providing pre- and postoperative care for eye surgeries.
Candidates must possess a Doctorate of Optometry from a credentialed institution and must have successfully passed all state optometric board examinations. The role requires the ability to practice to the full capacity of the license, support practice growth, and effectively communicate recommendations to support staff.
