The Physical Therapist Assistant is primarily responsible for delivering Physical Therapy care to assigned patients and accurately documenting this care in the hospital medical record. This role also involves acting as a consultant to various patient populations and providing instruction to support staff, students, and patient/family members.
Candidates must be licensed (or licensure eligible) as a Physical Therapist Assistant by the Commonwealth of Virginia and possess a minimum of 1 year of work experience in this role. Required education is graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program, resulting in an Associate Degree.
Employee is expected to share in weekend and holiday schedule expectations of the department or have a fluctuation of daily work hours from 8 AM to 7 PM based on patient population/clinic needs. Age Specific groups served: Pediatric Adolescence Adult Geriatric Physical Requirements (includes use of assistance devices as appropriate): Physical: Lifting 50-100 lbs.
