The Licensed Practical Nurse administers patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse and collaborates as a member of the nursing team to accomplish patient care activities. The LPN provides physical, emotional, and spiritual support that directly or indirectly impacts patient outcomes and care provided to patients and families.
Candidates must possess a Diploma Program in Practical Nursing and hold a valid Ohio Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license along with current AHA BLS certification. Certification to administer medications is required, and IV Certification is preferred.
Joint & Spine Shift: 7p-7:30a Facility: Miami Valley Hospital South The Licensed Practical Nurse administers patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse. The Licensed Practical Nurse collaborates as a member of the nursing team to accomplish patient care activities and contributes to the implementation of patient care. The LPN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies and procedures. The LPN provides physical, emotional and spiritual support that directly/ indirectly impacts patient outcomes and care provided to patients/ families/ significant others.
