The Mental Health Therapist counsels individuals, couples, families, and groups while providing mental health consultation within the health center and to assigned client organizations. Responsibilities include applying clinical experience in employer settings, utilizing various assessment and intervention techniques, and maintaining compliance with documentation standards.
Candidates must hold a license as an LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, or PsyD and maintain it in good standing, requiring a minimum of 5 years of related clinical experience across mental health, addiction, and work-related spectrums. Proficiency in evidence-based treatments like CBT, ACT, and DBT is mandatory, along with graduation from an APA-accredited program and current BLS certification.
Ability to inspire respect, trust, and confidence. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written; including expertise with presentation skills. Ability to establish therapeutic alliances and rapport required to work with a diverse patient population Ability to make independent decisions in accordance with established policies and procedures while still working within the collaborative team framework. Proficient computer and technology skills Physical Job Requirements May require standing, walking and sitting for extended amounts of time. Occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs. Manual and finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination Requires corrected vision, hearing and speech within normal ranges. Must be able to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
