The Staffing Coordinator ensures the daily appropriate staffing of nursing units by filling vacant shifts using internal staff and external agencies, while also inputting accurate census, acuity, and staffing data into the scheduling system. This role also involves performing general clerical, reception, and office duties while fostering a culture sensitive to nurses' needs.
A high school education or GED is required for this position, though an Associate's or Technical Degree is preferred. Essential functions include creating and updating daily staffing sheets, coordinating with bed control, maintaining employee contact information, and processing attendance and leave requests.
