Wave Dental Specialists in Dearborn Heights, Michigan is seeking a Part-Time Orthodontic Assistant to work directly with our in-house orthodontist in a busy, collaborative multi-specialty practice.
Our team includes two periodontists, an oral surgeon, an endodontist, a prosthodontist, and two pediatric dentists, offering a dynamic and well-supported clinical environment.
Position Responsibilities Assist the orthodontist chairside Take and process digital x-rays Support orthodontic procedures and patient flow Maintain instruments, sterilization, and operatory setup Provide excellent patient care and education Work collaboratively within a multi-specialty team
X-ray certificate or current Michigan RDA license required Prior orthodontic assisting experience preferred, but not required Strong teamwork and communication skills Professional, reliable, and patient-focused

Education and Training High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum one-year related experience and/or training or the equivalent of a combination of education and experience in the dental profession. Valid X-ray certificate. Current license if CDA, RDA, or EFDA (per state requirements). CPR & first aid certificate. FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt Reports to: Operations Manager
