Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of one year of patient care experience, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting. Required certifications include CPR and CCHT certification within 18 months of hire, along with meeting all CMS certification requirements.
Description Southeastern Renal Dialysis is seeking a dedicated Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our dialysis team. In this role, you will provide safe, high-quality hemodialysis treatment under the supervision of a licensed nurse while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and compliance with state and federal regulations.
This position is ideal for candidates with prior patient care experience who are passionate about delivering compassionate, detail-oriented care in a clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities Set up, operate, and disinfect hemodialysis machines Monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment Obtain and document vital signs, weights, and treatment data Perform vascular access care and cannulation per state guidelines Identify and report changes in patient condition to the RN Administer heparin as delegated by licensed nurse Collect and prepare laboratory specimens Maintain strict infection control and safety standards Accurately document treatments in the clinical system Support quality improvement initiatives (QEP/CQI)
High School Diploma or GED required Minimum 1 year of patient care experience (hospital or clinical setting preferred) Must meet CMS certification requirements CCHT certification required within 18 months of hire CPR certification required (or ability to obtain) Strong communication skills and attention to detail Commitment to teamwork and patient-centered care
