The Licensed Practical Nurse provides direct patient care to hospice patients in various settings under the supervision of an RN, which includes reinforcing patient and family education and participating in the comprehensive Interdisciplinary Plan of Care. Responsibilities also involve performing patient assessments, documentation, and participating in Quality Improvement activities, often requiring coverage during nights, weekends, and holidays.
Candidates must possess a valid Driver's license with a good record and a personal car, along with a valid Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and current BLS and IV certifications. A minimum of one year of experience in Medical Surgery Nursing or equivalent Hospice experience is preferred, and graduation from an accredited nursing program is mandatory.
