The Personal Care Aide will assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and mobility, while also engaging them in conversation and promptly responding to their needs. Responsibilities also include observing and reporting changes in condition to a nurse, preparing meals, and maintaining a clean living environment.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and ideally have previous experience working with elderly individuals in settings like residential care or home health. A compassionate, dependable, and patient-centered mindset, along with strong communication and observation skills, is required.
What You’ll Do As a Personal Care Aide, you will: Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, transferring, and mobility Engage patients in meaningful conversation, companionship, and social interaction Respond promptly to patient needs and requests for care Observe and report changes in physical, emotional, or mental condition to a licensed nurse Complete required documentation, including incident reports and change-of-condition reports Prepare and serve meals; assist with eating (excluding tube feeding) Support self-administration of medications as directed Change bed linens and maintain a clean, safe immediate living environment (bedroom and bathroom)
Qualifications: What We’re Looking For
