The Substance Use Disorder Counselor is responsible for providing intake screening, assessments, and support services to youth in the Reception and Classification Units. This role also involves facilitating referrals, conducting educational and therapeutic groups, and managing case coordination and documentation.
A Bachelor's degree is required, and a Master's degree is preferred for this position. Candidates must obtain CADC certification within two years and should ideally be familiar with DSM-5 criteria related to substance use disorders.
