The role involves performing non-invasive, routine, technical support services under the supervision of a licensed provider, which includes setting up exam rooms and checking in patients. Essential functions also cover obtaining vital signs, reporting significant findings to the physician, and performing audiometry and vision testing.
A High School Education or GED is required, along with Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited institution and Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification. Preferred qualifications include successful completion of audiometry and vision training or a CHDP certificate, and a Phlebotomy certificate.
