The Registered Nurse will assess and monitor the physical, emotional, and psychological needs of patients, creating home health care plans aligned with physician orders and patient goals. Responsibilities also include directing nursing care, administering treatments, managing pain and symptoms, educating families, and maintaining accurate documentation.
A Registered Nursing Degree (Associate or Bachelor) from an accredited college is required, along with current unrestricted licensure in the applicable state. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, proof of car insurance, and typically one year of nursing practice in a patient care setting, with home health or geriatrics experience being preferred.
Plan, budget, and monitor operations to ensure financial stability Manage operational progress toward accomplishing operational and strategic goals Ensure that structure and systems promote interdisciplinary care and coordination among other departments and services Develop and implement appropriate service policies and procedures to accomplish desired outcomes Evaluate hospice services and personnel using measurable outcomes and objectives, including monitoring service utilization to ensure delivery of comprehensive care Ensure adequate and appropriate staffing, direct staff in performance of their duties, and maintain effective channels of communication Provide staff development, including orientation, continuing education, and quality assessment performance improvement Ensure organizational compliance with legal, regulatory and accreditation requirements, including appropriate data collection and reporting
