As the Gastroenterologist you will assess, diagnose, and treat patients requiring specialize care.
You’ll work as part of a team-based model where primary and specialty care providers join with hospital partners, community specialists, and skilled nursing facilities to provide high-quality, evidence-based medicine to a diverse and growing population.
Primary Responsibilities: Performs physical assessments on patients with specialized conditions Develop and implement a plan of care for these patients, as well as prescribe medications, exercises and/or other treatments Collaborates with the clinical and administrative teams in the management of patient care.
Maintaining continuity of care through the exchange of information with outside health and social agencies Serves as a liaison between primary care providers and specialists such as general surgeons, urologists, orthopedic and ENT surgeons.
Consults with primary care providers on issues related to patient care Teaches and counsels individuals and groups with regard to specific health care needs.

Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Medical School or School of Osteopathic Medicine and be Board Certified or Eligible in Gastroenterology. Required credentials include current active DEA licensure/prescriptive authority and Mass DPH Controlled Substances Registration, along with American Heart Association BLS certification.
