The Neonatologist will provide care for critically ill infants, ranging from extremely preterm babies to those with complex medical/surgical needs, often involving prenatal consultation. Responsibilities include managing various ventilation techniques, inhaled nitric oxide, and therapeutic total body cooling for patients admitted to the Level 3B, 44-bed NICU.
Candidates must hold an MD or DO degree and be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Pediatrics, along with obtaining an unrestricted medical license in the state. Eligibility to work in the United States is required, with J-1 waiver sponsorship available.
Care for critically ill infants who are born at Methodist Medical Center or transferred in from network hospitals Patient ranges from extremely preterm infants (>22 weeks GA) to those with complex medical/surgical needs cared for prenatally by our Fetal-Neonatal Center Full range of service include, but not limited to, non-invasive, conventional, high frequency Jet and Oscillatory ventilation, inhaled nitric oxide, and therapeutic total body cooling Division sees between 950-1050 admissions annually with 4,500-5,500 births annually
