The Licensed Practical Nurse will provide direct nursing care to adults with developmental and physical disabilities on the AVS campus. This includes completing clinical assessments, recording seizure activity as needed, and administering medications.
Candidates must possess a current LPN license in the Commonwealth of PA, with one year of experience preferred, and a genuine interest in working with individuals with physical and developmental disabilities. A valid PA driver's license and reliable transportation may also be required.
Merakey is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse who will make an impact on the lives of adults living with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.
Merakey Allegheny Valley School (Merakey AVS) is a non-profit organization which provides homes and a full range of services to adults with all levels of intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The majority of the nearly 800 individuals that we support are diagnosed with severe or profound IDD. In addition, most of the people we serve have multiple physical disabilities, extensive medical complications and may require supports for challenging behaviors.
The LPN will work on the AVS campus in a 17-bed facility. The nurse will provide direct nursing care to persons with developmental and physical disabilities by completing clinical assessments, recording seizure activity as needed, and administering medications.
$29.00 per hour
