This role involves performing various duties in sterile processing to support the surgical team, including receiving, inspecting, preparing, storing, and delivering supplies, instruments, and equipment. The processor also participates in quality assessment activities and must comply with all safety and infection control standards.
Candidates must possess a High School Graduate or GED equivalent and maintain current certification as a Central Service Technician from IAHCSMM, CBSPD, or the Veteran's Administration. A minimum of one year of experience in sterile instrument processing is required, along with the ability to follow instructions and interact professionally with staff and patients.
