About the role

The primary duty is producing high-quality images for physician interpretation that adhere to MQSA and Mayo Clinic Radiology Department standards, requiring competence across various imaging technologies. Employees must also practice safety guidelines, foster teamwork through communication, and maintain flexibility to staff different work locations and shifts as needed.

Produces high quality images for interpretation by physicians that meet the standards established by the Mammography Quality Standard Act (MQSA) and Mayo Clinic Radiology Departments. Requires competence, as determined by competency assessments, in a variety of imaging equipment and technology. Practices proper safety guidelines for themselves, support personnel and patients. Fosters teamwork through effective communication. Ensures high level of service to patients through proper communication, technique, and safety guidelines. Maintains flexibility to staff various work locations, shift times and lengths. Perform other functional duties as assigned to assure efficient and optimal patient care.

Requirements

Candidates must be graduates of an accredited radiography program and possess ARRT certification in Radiography, with Mammography certification required within 18 to 24 months of hire. The role demands organization, efficiency, the ability to work independently, excellent communication skills, and availability for varied hours including on-call shifts covering days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends.
