The Nurse Practitioner will provide direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans for inpatient rehabilitation and long-term care patients. Duties also involve conducting regular rounds, monitoring patient progress, and educating patients and families on medical conditions and self-care techniques.
Candidates must possess a Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program and hold a current NP license in Maryland, with a strong background preferred in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Neurology, or Orthopedics. Required qualifications include strong clinical assessment skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care, although two years of clinical experience is preferred but not mandatory.
