The Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist performs as a scrub tech and monitor during invasive cardiologic procedures in the Cardiac Cath or Electrophysiology Lab, requiring the ability to recognize lethal heart rhythms and alert the LIP. Responsibilities include preparing patients, providing pre, intra, and post-procedure care, maintaining sterility, and accurately completing charge entry processes.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited RCIS or RCES program, or a related health science program, and must obtain RCIS, RCES, or RT certification within specified timeframes after hire. Required certifications include BLS and ACLS, along with demonstrated competency in technical standards, safety, and performing scrub, monitor, and circulating duties.
