Pharmacy technicians assist licensed pharmacists by performing various activities within the pharmacy department, such as batch preparations, new dose preparation, stock preparations, and managing Pyxis functions.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and obtain National Pharmacy Technician Certification within 15 months of hire, while holding the required WV Pharmacy Technician or Technician in Training license before starting. Required skills include typing proficiency of 30 w.p.m., basic computer skills, good math skills, and demonstrated responsibility and integrity.

Satisfactory completion of the on-the-job pharmacy technician training program.
