The Medical Assistant provides direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a nurse or physician, communicating clinical conditions and diagnostic results effectively. Responsibilities also include completing accurate documentation, managing patient scheduling, and promptly handling prior authorization tasks with payers.
Candidates must be a high school graduate or equivalent, with an associate's degree or higher preferred, and must possess the required Medical Assistant Certification. Essential abilities include professional verbal and written communication, understanding insurance benefits, performing basic math, and maintaining HIPAA ethics, along with typing at least 40 WPM.
