The technologist performs invasive diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures, taking responsibility for operating and ensuring the quality of imaging, patient monitoring, and x-ray equipment. They actively participate in lab activities by fulfilling both scrub and monitor roles, ensuring patient care and procedural documentation are maintained.
require an Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or Cardiovascular Technology, along with current ARRT and/or RCIS certification, with no prior work experience necessary. Candidates must possess the ability to assess patient needs, have thorough knowledge of emergency procedures and equipment, and maintain composure in high-stress situations.
The following qualifications, or equivalents, are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this job: Education and Formal Training: Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or Cardiovascular Technology program required Current ARRT and/or RCIS certification required Work Experience: None Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Ability to assess patient needs correctly and take appropriate action Thorough knowledge of medications, emergency procedures and medical equipment Ability to initiate appropriate emergency actions within scope of practice and law Ability to work with personnel of varied training/backgrounds, i.e. rad.
