The Registered Pharmacist interprets physician prescriptions, acts as a drug information resource for staff and patients, and compounds/dispenses medications while ensuring accuracy and optimizing patient safety. Responsibilities also include supervising pharmacy staff, maintaining controlled substance inventories, and performing clinical monitoring of drug therapies.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited College or School of Pharmacy and hold current Pharmacist licensure in the state of employment, with CPR certification required upon orientation. Preferred experience includes three years in a hospital setting or one year in behavioral healthcare.
