The Psychiatrist will be responsible for delivering high-quality psychiatric care to veterans, managing a daily patient load equivalent to 6 to 6.5 one-hour appointments. Key duties include inpatient care collaboration with Mental Health staff, admitting and diagnosing patients, developing treatment plans, and managing discharge/transfer documentation.

Monday – Friday, (Currently M-F, 8:00am to 4:30pm) On-site care for Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) beneficiaries Inpatient settings On Call Hours = Nights, Weekends, and Holidays Key Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality psychiatric care to veterans. 6 patients for an hour each or roughly 12 patients for one half-houreach; or any combination of one-hour and one-half hour appointment per day totaling 6 to 6.5 Direct Patient Care: estimated 90% Scope of Care Physicians shall be responsible for: Inpatient Care: All psychiatrists will be required to work in collaboration with Mental Health staff who are part-time or full time salaried by the VA for inpatient care duties Operating and collaborating physician’s patients Seeing 1C/1D Psychiatry Service - Ward Patients Admitting and Diagnosis of patients Developing Treatment Plans Managing, including the performance of timely treatment Discharge/Transfer all needed medical record documentation
Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist: Active certification or eligibility required. Valid medical license in any U.S. state. Current and unrestricted DEA license.
