About the role

The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers direct patient care by monitoring physiological and behavioral status. They are also responsible for evaluating patient progress, performing treatments, and managing nursing personnel.

Overview The Registered Nurse (RN) organizes and coordinates delivery of nursing care to groups of patients in compliance with hospital and departmental policies, protocols and procedures. He/she provides direct patient care by monitoring physiological and behavioral status, evaluating patient progress and the effectiveness of interventions, and by performing treatments and procedures. He/she recognizes, reports and documents clinical observations. The Registered Nurse participates in orientation, training and management of personnel.

Qualifications

Requirements

Candidates must be graduates of an accredited school of nursing and hold a current Alabama RN license. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.
