We are currently seeking a committed Physical Therapist I to join our team and contribute to the well-being of our patients.
Responsibilities
- Deliver physical therapy care to assigned patient population and document care accurately in the hospital medical record.
- Act as a consultant to various patient clinics, providing guidance and instruction to PT support staff, students, personnel of other disciplines within VCUHS, and patients and/or family members.
- Rotate through various clinical service areas as required.
- Independently conduct patient evaluations, implement plans of care, and participate in discharge planning.
- Order necessary equipment and represent the department at rounds and discharge conferences.
- Schedule and charge patients for services rendered.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Licensed (or licensure eligible) by the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Physical Therapist.
- Certification: Current CPR Certification if required by clinic or practice area.
- Experience: New graduate to up to 2 years of work experience as a Physical Therapist.
- Preferred Experience: Previous affiliation or work experience at a similar facility.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Physical Therapy.
- Preferred Education: Masters or Doctoral Degree from an accredited School of Physical Therapy.
Supervisory Responsibilities (if applicable)
- May supervise Physical Therapist Assistants, Rehab Technicians, students, and volunteers.
- Member of a self-directed team, contributing to daily clinic problem-solving.

- Schedules and work hours established with specific Manager, including weekends and holidays as required.
