The Medical Assistant will plan, provide, and document nursing care in the OB-GYN clinic according to physician orders, which includes collecting and analyzing patient data and communicating findings to physicians. They will also perform necessary in-clinic testing of patient samples and collaborate with RNs to revise the plan of care based on patient needs.
Candidates must have graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program and possess a high school diploma or GED. Level II requires one year of clinical experience as a Certified Medical Assistant, and all candidates must hold current certification (AAMA, AMT, NHA-CCMA, NCMA, or ARMA) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
