The Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant performs patient treatments as directed by the Registered Physical Therapist according to the established treatment plan. This role requires documenting treatments given, including frequent and objective measurements, while working competently with patients ranging from neonatal through geriatric.
Candidates must possess an Associate of Physical Therapy Assistant degree, or equivalent training verified by an accredited PTA program, and hold an active State License along with AHA BLS certification. Preferred experience includes one year in the field, and active U.S. military service members or veterans with verified training are also acceptable for education requirements.
At the direction of a Registered Physical Therapist, performs patient treatments as indicated by the treatment plan. Documents treatments given, including frequent and objective measurements. Works with neonatal through geriatric patients with clinical competency. Completes established competencies for the position within the designated introductory period.
