The role involves providing behavioral health assessments, diagnosis, and treatment, including discharge planning and consultation for patients and families coping with illness or substance abuse disorders. This includes formulating comprehensive treatment plans and participating in multidisciplinary healthcare teams to represent a professional counseling perspective.
Required education includes a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, and a Master's Degree in counseling or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred experience includes three years working with crisis intervention, individual, and group therapy with behavioral health clients.
