Requirements summary
Candidates must possess a valid California Driver’s License and current automobile insurance, and must obtain the Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist (MHRS) certification, which can be obtained after hire. Educational requirements vary, ranging from a high school diploma plus one year of experience for Recovery Counselor I, up to a Master's degree plus two years of experience for Recovery Counselor II.

Overview: 24/7 voluntary residential setting specifically for Transitional Age Youth (TAY) at risk and need a higher level of care, but lower than a psychiatric hospital Facility equipped to serve up to 15 Youth Provides mental health services that include individual therapy, group rehabilitation, medication management, and case management Incorporates the tenets of recovery, peer support, and identifying community connections Connects individuals to educational and vocational services and initiating the process of locating housing
