The Therapist SUDP provides integrated treatment to individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Using evidence-based therapies, motivational interviewing, and case management, the Therapist SUDP offers robust treatment that incorporates recovery principles from both disciplines. Through individual and group sessions, the Therapist SUDP will provide counseling, skill development, and support to assist each client with reaching their recovery goals. Excellent communication skills, the ability to establish rapport quickly, and a collaborative attitude are essential in this role. Clinical supervision and training in evidence-based practices are provided as part of this position. This role is part of our adult outpatient team in Walla Walla and has a Monday-Friday, 8am to 5pm schedule.

  • SUDP duties may include: providing individual & family therapy and facilitating behavioral health groups collaborating with each client to create an individualized treatment plan completing intakes & assessments for both substance use and mental health providing progress reports and completion notices to the courts, probation departments, and referral sources as appropriate assessing clients for safety and risk to self or others, and taking appropriate crisis intervention measures when indicated assisting with case management as needed thorough and timely completion of required clinical documentation
  • Qualifications: Master's degree in social work, counseling, or related field leading to licensure eligibility Substance Use Disorder Professional license Must be eligible for registration as Agency Affiliated Counselor In compliance with state and federal law, Comprehensive Healthcare requires all candidates to complete a post-offer, pre-employment drug screen and background check. Please refer to WAC 388-113-0020 through 388-113-0030 for information on criminal convictions and pending charges that automatically disqualify an individual from working for Comprehensive Healthcare. Please refer to RCW 49.44.240 for information on pre-employment drug screening. Requirements

Candidates must possess a Master's degree in social work, counseling, or a related field leading to licensure eligibility, along with an active Substance Use Disorder Professional license. Eligibility for registration as an Agency Affiliated Counselor is also required, and all candidates must pass a post-offer drug screen and background check.
