The Licensed Practical Nurse provides direct patient care under the supervision of licensed practitioners, which includes collecting data for assessments and administering medications while observing for adverse reactions. Responsibilities also involve patient and family education, potential patient triage, and carrying out physician orders as needed.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED and be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) eligible to practice in Kentucky, with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 45 days. No prior work experience is explicitly required for this role.
