The graduate nurse, under the direction of an RN Preceptor, performs comprehensive nursing assessments, establishes, coordinates, and evaluates patient care plans, and provides necessary nursing interventions based on patient needs and status. Responsibilities also include accurate documentation, collaboration with the health team, medication administration, and specialized care such as restraint and pain management.
Candidates must be a pre-licensure graduate of an accredited nursing program and eligible to practice as determined by the State Board of Nursing, with less than one year of experience as an RN. Successful applicants will actively participate in the SSM Health Nurse Residency Program.
