The Hospice Aide is responsible for providing personal care to patients according to the Hospice Aide Plan of Care, documenting all care provided, and safely using Durable Medical Equipment (DME). Duties also include taking vital signs and offering respite to the patient's family or caregiver when on-site.
Candidates must have completed a minimum of 75 hours of training, including at least 16 hours of supervised practical training and 16 hours of classroom instruction. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, possess one year of experience as a CNA, hospice aide, or home health aide, and have a valid driver's license with an insured vehicle.

As a Hospice Aide, you will be responsible for providing personal care under the direction of a registered nurse.
Perform personal care according to the Hospice Aide Plan of Care Document care provided according to agency policy Report any deviations from the Plan of Care Use DME safely Take vital signs Provide respite for patients family/caregiver when on-site, as appropriate Participate in IDG meetings, as appropriate
Received a minimum of 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training with at least 16 hours of devoted to supervised practical training and with at least 16 hours of classroom instruction completed. One year experience as a CNA, hospice aide, or home health aide. At least 18 years old. Must be a licensed driver with an insured automobile in good working order. The ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing.
