The Physical Therapy Assistant provides skilled, compassionate physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to support comfort, function, and quality of life for hospice patients. Essential functions include delivering prescribed physical therapy interventions, leading patients through therapeutic exercises, and instructing patients on the use of mobility and supportive devices.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program with an associate degree and possess current PTA certification or licensure as required by state law. Additional requirements include current CPR certification and having a reliable, insured automobile for travel.
