The role also requires monitoring progress, recommending adaptive equipment, training families, maintaining detailed documentation, and collaborating with caregivers and interdisciplinary teams.
Candidates must possess a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy and hold an active Occupational Therapy license in Texas. One year of experience in Allied Health Services is preferred, along with the physical capability to exert significant force occasionally to move objects.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support each child’s physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development Provide direct therapy services in home settings, promoting skill carryover across environments Monitor progress and modify treatment plans to ensure meaningful outcomes for each child Recommend adaptive equipment and train families on proper use and integration into daily routines Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed documentation, including evaluations, daily notes, and progress reports Collaborate closely with parents and caregivers to reinforce therapy goals and strategies at home Work as part of an interdisciplinary team to deliver coordinated, holistic care
