The primary purpose is to greet and register patients at the Urgent Care, accurately entering demographics, charges, and insurance information while collaborating with clinical staff. Duties also involve collecting payments, completing necessary paperwork like BWC forms, and performing basic clerical and rooming tasks.
Required qualifications include a High School diploma or equivalent and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word & Excel), along with the ability to work 12-hour shifts including weekends and holidays. Candidates must possess positive interpersonal and communication skills and meet driver's license requirements.
Minimum of 6 months previous experience in medical setting. EMR (Electronic Medical Records) experience. Medical terminology. Clerical/Receptionist experience with public contact. PHYSICAL DEMANDS This position requires a full range of body motion with intermittent walking, lifting, bending, climbing, squatting, kneeling, twisting, sitting and standing. The associate must be able to sit for 8 hours a day and be able to lift fifty pounds, and reach work above the shoulders. The individual must have good eye-hand coordination and fine finger dexterity to operate machines. The individual must have excellent verbal communication skills to communicate with patients, physicians, and co-workers. The associate must have corrected vision and hearing in the normal range. This position is classified “at risk” for possible occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens (HBV, HIV, etc.).
