The Licensed Practical Nurse will be responsible for the treatment of infants, children, and/or adolescents according to the active plan of care, including administering prescribed medication, treatments, and therapies. Responsibilities also include documenting all activities and educating the patient and family regarding disease processes and self-care techniques.
Candidates must possess an active nursing license in good standing, and while six months of recent clinical care experience and home health experience are preferred, they are not strictly required. Essential soft skills include attention to detail, time management, effective problem-solving, and good communication.
Treatment of infants, children, and/or adolescents according to the active plan of care, as given by the physician and other appropriate personnel Administration of prescribed medication, treatments and therapies Documents all activities, assessments, nursing actions, responses and coordination of care Educates the patient and family regarding the disease process, self-care techniques, and prevention strategies, and in meeting the patient's nursing needs.
