  • Category: Health CareWayne Memorial Community Health Centers (WMCHC) is seeking a Physician’s Assistant to join the team at our Lake Region Walk-in Clinic. Join our fast-paced walk-in clinic team and provide high-quality, patient-centered care for individuals of all ages presenting with acute and episodic conditions, minor illnesses, and injuries following established guidelines, practices and protocols. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of to ensure optimal patient outcomes and satisfaction. WMCHC’s Mission Serving all members of the community with a focus on the underserved and disadvantaged, Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers will create and sustain a healthy community by providing accessible, high quality medical, dental, and behavioral health care. Collaboration

Consult with supervising physicians on patient care and administrative issues, collaborating regularly with nursing and medical staff to ensure quality care.

Quality

Improvement: Actively participate in patient safety and quality improvement processes. Performs other duties as assigned to support efficient operation of the department.

Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program. National certification as an Advanced Practice Provider. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification; Minimum 1-2 years of experience in walk in or family medicine required Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, think critically, and make independent, decisive judgments. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a commitment to excellent customer service and compassionate care. Skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods, and techniques as a professional health care provider; in taking medical history to assess medical condition and interpret findings Ability to maintain quality control standards and ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures and to communicate clearly

Requirements

Candidates must possess current, active, and unrestricted licensure as a Physician Assistant in Pennsylvania, along with graduation from an accredited PA program and national certification. A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in walk-in or family medicine is required, along with current BLS/CPR certification.
