The Physician's Assistant will conduct comprehensive medical histories and physical examinations for walk-in patients, formulating diagnoses and implementing individualized treatment plans within established protocols. Responsibilities also include ordering and interpreting diagnostics, performing minor procedures, maintaining accurate EHR documentation, and providing patient education and counseling.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, as needed.
Consult with supervising physicians on patient care and administrative issues, collaborating regularly with nursing and medical staff to ensure quality care.
Quality
Improvement: Actively participate in patient safety and quality improvement processes. Performs other duties as assigned to support efficient operation of the department.

Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program. National certification as an Advanced Practice Provider. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification; Minimum 1-2 years of experience in walk in or family medicine required Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, think critically, and make independent, decisive judgments. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a commitment to excellent customer service and compassionate care. Skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods, and techniques as a professional health care provider; in taking medical history to assess medical condition and interpret findings Ability to maintain quality control standards and ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures and to communicate clearly
