The primary purpose of the Nurse Extern is to carry out routine and assigned nursing tasks within the framework of hospital and nursing service policies. This role involves assisting the nurse with carrying out patient care activities according to the extern's scope of training and experience.
Candidates must be a Junior or Senior enrolled in an Accredited Professional Nursing program and must provide two letters of recommendation from their instructors. Required certifications include CPR and Glucoscan, along with demonstrated experience effectively dealing with the public.
