The Surgical Tech assists the physician during procedures, ensuring the endoscopic suite is fully prepared and all instruments are cleaned, sterilized, and functioning correctly. This role also involves participation in department staff meetings and performance improvement activities.
Candidates must have some college or vocational training and obtain American Heart Association BLS CPR certification within 7 days of hire. Certification with NBSTSA is required within 90 days for new graduates, or the candidate must meet other specified criteria related to prior military or South Carolina employment.
Assists physician during procedures. Ensures endoscopic suite is adequately prepared for the procedures. Ensures all instruments are cleaned and sterilized and functioning properly. Participates in department staff meetings and performance improvement activities.
