The Trauma Social Worker is responsible for providing comprehensive mental health assessment services to trauma patients and overseeing staff in screening and intervention for issues like alcohol misuse and acute stress disorder. This role involves providing therapy/counseling for traumatic events and coordinating care to ensure appropriate disposition and discharge planning.
Candidates must possess a Master's Degree in Social Work or a similar behavioral science degree like Counseling or Psychology from an accredited program. A current Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensure in Idaho is mandatory, along with thorough knowledge of community resources for behavioral health.
